OCTOBER 2025

A Wave of Momentum: 65 Students Stop by to Learn How to Solve Water

By Kian Sadr, Founder & President, SolveWater (Class of ’27, Rye High School)

Hello friends,

This month brought an incredible surge of energy for Solve Water — and proof that when you give people a chance to make a difference, they show up.

On October 16, I had the opportunity to host a Solve Water table at the Rye High School Community Volunteer Fair. What an experience! More than 65 students stopped by to learn about our mission to clean up one ton of trash from local waterways and join our next cleanup event.

The level of interest was inspiring — students asked thoughtful questions, shared their own environmental ideas, and signed up to take action. Some had never joined a cleanup before, while others were eager to bring friends and classmates along. Every name on that list represents a growing wave of youth leadership for clean water.

Our next big event will take place at the Rye Nature Center on Saturday, November 1, from 1:30–3:30 PM — and there are still 15 spots left! If you haven’t signed up yet, now’s the time. Bring a friend, roll up your sleeves, and help protect the place we all share.

Together, we can turn awareness into action — one cleanup, one community, and one ton of trash at a time.

See you at the Nature Center!
